Frequent questions
Do I need a CDL to drive a box truck?
No, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required to operate most box trucks. Box trucks under 26,001 lbs GVWR can be driven with a standard Class D driver’s license. However, if the vehicle exceeds that weight limit or you are transporting hazardous materials, a CDL may be required. At Voyager Logistics Inc, most of our routes are designed for non-CDL drivers.
What types of freight do you haul with box trucks?
Our box trucks handle a wide variety of freight including retail and e-commerce deliveries, furniture and appliance shipments, food and beverage distribution, trade show and event logistics, and LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) consolidated shipments. We match every load to the right truck size – 16ft, 24ft, or 26ft – based on weight, dimensions, and delivery requirements.
What states do you operate in?
Voyager Logistics Inc dispatches box truck loads across 48 contiguous states. Whether you need local, regional, or OTR (Over-the-Road) coverage, our team has the broker network and freight connections to keep your truck moving nationwide.
How does your dispatch service work?
Once you’re onboarded with Voyager Logistics Inc, you’ll be assigned a dedicated dispatcher who works directly with you. Your dispatcher finds and books loads that match your truck, negotiates the best rates on your behalf, plans your routes, and handles all paperwork – so you can focus entirely on driving.
How and when do drivers get paid?
Drivers and owner-operators working with Voyager Logistics Inc receive weekly settlements. We maintain full transparency – you’ll always know exactly what you earned and what fees were deducted before your payment is processed. No surprises, no hidden charges.
What do I need to get started with Voyager Logistics Inc?
Getting started is simple. You’ll need a valid U.S. driver’s license, a clean driving record, and authorization to work in the United States. For owner-operators, you’ll also need your own DOT authority and insurance. Once you apply, our team will reach out within 24 hours and most drivers are on the road within a few days of completing onboarding.
